Hull Cleaning
Sustainably Clean And Maintained Performance
Our ROV allows us to clean the hull’s vertical sides and flatbottom during bunkering operations, as well as at night time. Furthermore, it may also perform the same cleaning operations during cargo operations at container terminals. All this allows for a reduction of our principals’ downtime, ultimately saving them money.
Underwater
Inspections and Surveys
SCAMP in-water inspections are an invaluable aid to our principals. Hull and propeller fouling condition assessment, classification societies’ surveys, sale and purchase transactions, P&I claims and dry-dock planning usually require photographic and/or video in-water inspections. Our well-trained and highly experienced divers perform underwater inspections and surveys, backed by top-tier image recording technology, with still photography and/or CCTV video.
Propeller polishing
Regular polishing optimizes propeller hydro-efficiency
Regular polishing reduces propeller surface roughness up to a Rupert’s comparator’s scale A/B, ensuring maximum thrust, diminishing drag and optimizing propeller hydro-efficiency.
Besides polishing, our diving teams can also repair propeller damage and surface erosion, with the added benefit of reducing stress on the propeller shaft and the vessel’s engines. Furthermore, they can also solve rope or net entanglement issues.

Ship Repairs
We use the latest technology and the most advanced techniques to meet any underwater engineering challenge. SCAMP a leader in underwater welding of hull cracks, patching or replacing steel plate sections (with cofferdam when required), sealing stern glands and blanking sea water inlets to allow for internal repairs, as well as cropping and balancing damaged propellers.
These works can include blanking of seawater inlets to enable in-board repairs to valves and pipe arrangements, replacement of wasted sacrificial zinc anodes, repairing cracks by applying temporary and permanent underwater repair solutions.
